Tapas at Home

Writer: AveryAvery

Last night's menu was inspired by a bag of shishito peppers I got in my Hungry Harvest Haul this week. It's a pepper I usually don't see at my grocery store, so when I saw them on the Hungry Harvest website, I snatched them up. I paired them with a few other of our favorite tapa menu items, which made for a super tasty, fresh, and colorful meal!

Served with a bottle of chardonnay, although a pitcher of sangria would have been a fun addition if you wanted to step up your game.

Bruschetta

I used a box of baby heirloom tomatoes, and I adored the colorful take on traditional bruschetta, especially next to the shishito peppers!

Albondigas

Recipe Inspiration: Popculture Turkey Meatballs

I usually make turkey meatballs, but this time I switched out turkey for beef for more flavor. I baked the meatballs, and then slid them into a pot of simmering spicy tomato sauce I picked up from the store.

The easiest veggie side dish ever.

Patatas Bravas

I often just roast my potatoes with some olive oil and spices, but for this dish, I tried my hand at frying. I grabbed a bag of baby potatoes, and followed Chef John's recipe, including boiling the potatoes, cooling them for 45 minutes, and then frying. So worth it.
